16 June: Bloomsday, and a bowl of Dublin Coddle
Ulysses follows Leopold Bloom around Dublin on a single day, 16 June 1904, and Dubliners still celebrate it as Bloomsday. The day calls for Dublin's own pot: coddle, sausages, rashers and potatoes cooked slowly under a lid.
